“They looking for my ticket. They like ‘you’re not in the first group,’” Howery said to Kimmel.
Get Out has been nominated for four Oscars best picture, director, actor, and writing.
Jordan Peele is nominated for best director and best writer. Daniel Kaluuya is nominated for best actor.
Lil Rel Howery's character Rod Williams was Daniel Kaluuya’s character’s, Chris Washington, friend who told him to “Get Out” of that shituation he was in with his girlfriend and her folks.
Kimmel told Howery that he will get him some tickets and he’ll “get him in.”
Howery told Kimmel that after that called he went to YouTube and counted the people who were nominated and he knows from that the folks at the Academy Awards have extra tickets.
Lil Rel did say Jay-Z invited him to his Oscars party, which Lil Rel is most definitely going to.
